FAQ’s
Learn more about your pipe system and what Excel Plumbing & Rooter can do for you!
What should I do if my water won’t shut off?
While it can be alarming to have a running faucet that seems to be stuck in the “on” position, don’t give up and resort to a bucket system just yet. Run over to your main water valve and try your hand at manually shutting off your water that way. This valve can often be found behind a plastic or metal panel somewhere in your yard. If the handle won’t budge, using a pair of pliers or a wrench could work out as a backup.
Can leaks get worse if I don’t take care of it ASAP?
Even if the severity of your leak appears minuscule, you shouldn’t underestimate its potential to cause irreversible damage to your property. The longer you let it sit, the more time it has to spread and wear out the physical structure of the building. so don’t be afraid to call us as soon as you notice any leaks!
Is hydro-jetting my pipes really worth it?
Cleaning your drains regularly is key to preventing clogged pipes and costly repairs. A hydro jet pushes high-pressure water into your pipes for effective cleaning which is why we highly offer and recommend this useful service to everyone.
What is a rooter service, and how is it different from any other plumbing service?
If you’ve never heard the term “rooter” before, it simply refers to any instances of pipe damage that was caused by overgrown tree roots (hence the name). This occurrence is much more common than you might think, but our team is ready to handle every rooter with timeliness and accuracy.
How are electric water heaters different from gas water heater tanks?
Most homes carry gas tanks to heat up the water, but people are starting to get wise to the benefits that their newer electric counterparts have to offer. Electric water heaters (also known as tankless water heaters) directly heat up water at the source, eliminating the need for gas. They take up less space, work much faster, and save you money on water consumption.
Do I need routine maintenance for my pipe system?
Countless homeowners go years without regular maintenance but often run into costly repairs from the lack of care. By keeping up with routine cleaning and inspections, your pipe system will stay in top shape and last much longer without the risk of severe damage.
What does it mean to be licensed, bonded, and insured?
Our license is proof that we abide by any rules and regulations while meeting the required skillset needed to perform the tasks of the business. Having insurance protects us in case of an accident, but bonds ensure that you are protected should something go wrong. Having all three in place is essential in building trust with everyone we work with.
